Is xQmail.eu SaaS

xQmail hosted is a hosted security application that is Software as a Service (SaaS). The advantage of SaaS is that you as a customer do not need to concern yourself with things like backps and maintenance.

xQmail dedicated on the other hand is not SaaS because with this service we install the software on a server the customer provides and therefore the customer is responsible for the hardware maintenance.

What is Spam

Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast media, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately. E-mail spam is a subset of spam that involves nearly identical messages sent to numerous recipients by e-mail. We at xQmail.eu target e-mail spam.
The term Spam is a brandname for canned meat. In a famous sketch by the British group Monty Pyhton (see the video below) the word spam is used repeatedly and that started the idear of calling all those repeating bulk messages spam.

More information on e-mail spam can be found at wikipedia.
